A Playlist

There are several playlists of Bach arias available on the internet. I couldn't help but create my own. However, unlike most I find out there, I want to justify the reason for my selection.

Firstly, the playlist below brings together various arias from different compositions by Bach. Most of them are from the Cantatas composed by him. However, if we take a closer look, we will notice that the majority of the selected recordings are conducted by Gustav Leonhardt. I chose him not by coincidence, as I consider him to be the one who best recorded Bach's works in phonogram form to date.

All the arias gathered here were extensively listened to by me during a particular time in my life. Especially while attending university. On the nighttime journey between my hometown and the university where I studied, which lasted about an hour, I could listen to practically an entire CD. At the time, I saved them in mp3 format on my cell phone and enjoyed them through headphones.

I hope someone may stumble upon this playlist and enjoy it. And, if found convenient, listen to each of the complete cantatas.

Ah, there are also arias from the Passion according to St. Matthew and the Mass in B minor. I recommend listening to the complete works.
